State Center Bed and Breakfast

Located in a former bank building in the middle of the State Center Historic District, this large modern apartment is the perfect place to stay while visiting the State Center or West Marshall area.  Whether it's for a single, couple or family, there's plenty of room in this sleek, modern apartment.  Amenities include California King-size bed in the bedroom and a queen size futon sofa available for extra sleeping space, as well as a fold-down black leather sofa in the living room which will accomodate one more adult or two children.


The full kitchen features refrigerator, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave and double sink, surrounded by granite countertops.
Since there is a full kitchen, we provide the breakfast basics for the first day of your visit.  This usually includes: orange juice, milk and cereal, yogurt, bagels and butter, and a bowl of fresh fruit.  Let us know if there is something else you would prefer.  After that, purchase what you need at the local grocery, just a few doors away, and use the kitchen.  Or, dine at the Steak Center Restaurant or Bailey's Pizza and Broasted Chicken, both just a few steps away.  Cissy's II, located just across the street, has an extensive menu available throughout the day.  Remarkable Rose Floral & Gifts, located a few doors to the west, offers gourmet coffees and teas and homemade cinnamon and caramel rolls and muffins starting at 7 am, Monday through Friday and 8 am on Saturday.


The living area combines modern black and red leather designer furniture, steel and glass tables and futuristic lighting with antique stone walls and polished concrete floors, creating an experience one would expect to fine in SoHO or the West Village in New York.  Architect designed furniture continues the modern theme in the large bedroom.  Rich bright red and yellow blocks of color, juxtaposed against local stone walls constructed more than 100 years ago, and gray painted walls, provide the visual excitement in this vibrant space.
Fireplace and audio-visual equipment help provide a feeling of being in your own home and washer and dryer are available to make longer stays convenient.


Walk to all State Center museums.  Full service grocery store, convenience store, post office, bank/ATM, two restaurants, coffee shop, gift and floral shops, and two antique shops are all within a few hundred feet of this conveniently located apartment.  Other services within walking distance are a fitness center, dry cleaning services, a photographer and two bars. 
Remarkable Rose Floral & Gifts and the Gutekunst Public Library, both within walking distance, offer free Wi-Fi service.
In addition from May through August, every Friday evening, there is a Farmer's Market located just around the corner.
