HELP WANTED: STATE CENTER HISTORICAL SOCIETY

State Center Historical Society needs volunteers. "We're down to a dozen or so," said Mike Riemenschneider. "And some of us are getting old."
Volunteers are needed to work at Watson's Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and to help at the Barber Shop and the School on special occasions.
"We need volunteers and we need new members to join the society," Mike continued. "We welcome anyone from the area to join. You don't need to live in State Center. We invite folks from Colo, Melbourne, Rhodes and Clemons... the entire area to consider joining the society."
State Center is drawing more summer/fall tourism every year; bus tours are committed to State Center again this season. When the tourists arrive they expect to see the sites we've advertised. It takes people to man these sites and answer questions the visitors have.
