Chief Jeff Bunn
In 1983 Chief Bunn started as a Resident Firefighter / EMT with the Citrus Heights Fire District, Sacramento County California. In 1987 Chief Bunn became a Correctional Peace Officer II with the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, starting his career in Law Enforcement. Chief Bunn During this time also worked with the Sonoma County Regional Parks as a Law Enforcement Ranger.

Chief Bunn relocated his family to Iowa in 1993. He joined the Toledo Police Department as a Patrolman, until joining the State Center Police Department as Chief in 1998.

Chief Bunn is a graduate of Camino Baptist Academy, Del Campo High School, Sonoma County Sheriff's Correctional Academy and the 153rd Basic Academy at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. Chief Bunn has completed numerous certification courses throughout his career.

He has strived to provide and improve services in State Center by implementing the first reserve officer program with an approved staff of five reserve officers. Under Chief Bunn the department has increased services by gaining a regularly scheduled part-time officer and two marked patrol cars.

Chief Bunn is married and has two sons. He has devoted 20 + years of his life to pubic service and continues to be dedicated in serving.
